His talk opened the session “Teaching Machines Kidney Biology: Foundation Models That Learn Once and Generalize Everywhere.” The session focused on how foundation models can learn kidney biology from genetics, single-cell and spatial data, pathology images, and clinical information, with potential applications in patient stratification, clinical trial design, and therapeutic target evaluation.
