Ang Li and Leon Frommer attend the Target Validation conference at the Wellcome Sanger Institute

At “Target Validation in the Era of Genomics, Big Data, and AI” (Wellcome Sanger Institute, 21–23 September 2026), the lab presented its work on single-cell foundation models, agentic AI, hypothesis generation and target discovery.

Ang Li gave a talk on “scFORGE: Recovering disease gene programs from a single-cell foundation model”. Leon Frommer presented a flash talk and a poster on “AI-driven discovery of GPNMB CAR T cells as a multi-cancer therapy” (Cell 2026).
