Leon Frommer, in collaboration with scientists from the University of Pennsylvania, publishes a new AI pipeline for target discovery in Cell

“AI-driven discovery of GPNMB CAR T cells as a multi-cancer therapy” is out in Cell. As computational lead, Leon Frommer worked on the AI/LLM pipeline that integrated scRNA-seq data to nominate new CAR T targets. The top prediction, GPNMB, was validated in vivo, and GPNMB CAR T cells showed strong anti-tumor effects across a broad range of blood and solid tumors.
